Edmond Santa Fe vs Norman North: What You Need to Know

Drake Stoops NN

The Ford Game of the Week on Friday is a matchup between Wolves. The Edmond Santa Fe Wolves (2-1) travel to 2016 6A Division 1 Runner Up Norman North (1-1) to face the Timberwolves at 7:00pm CT on September 15th. The game will be broadcast live on YurView Oklahoma for customers of Cox Communications. It will stream live on YurView.com.

Stoops is the Name, Catching Footballs is Our Game

Isaac and Drake Stoops, twin 5’10” boys of former OU coach Bob, play wide receiver for North. After coach Brent Barnes converted him from defensive back, Isaac has been steadily making plays this year. Drake, on the other hand, nearly set OU Stadium alight on opening night against Norman. He hauled his way to a 14 reception, 260 yard, 3 touchdown performance in a thrilling 49-43 victory.

Which Edmond Santa Fe Defense Shows Up?

Consistency is one thing every coach strives for, and at least according to the scoreboard, the Wolves defense is still working towards that goal. So far Kyle White’s crew has given up 35, 7 and 21 points respectively. But the talent – and will power – is certainly there as they showed in their Edlam Game.

With such a wide range of outcomes, it’s tough to know which one is the real Wolves defense. Either way, North’s skill players should be aware in the open field.

Players to Watch

RB Mbari Snoddy – Edmond Santa Fe

Nine touchdowns in three games. NINE! Two of them are through the air, making him a dual threat and Norman North’s priority check on Friday.

WRs Isaac Stoops & Drake Stoops – Norman North

One show stopping catch is all it takes.

QB Ryan Peoples

Good quarterbacks feed their Peoples. That’s what North’s QB does with the Stoops boys. He went 20 for 30 in the opener with rival Norman.
