Hampton Roads Chamber is the regions premiere business organization. They help businesses succeed and drive regional economic growth. Chamber President/CEO Bryan Stephens says 2016 was a banner year for the chamber.
The Hampton Roads Chamber was recently awarded 5-Star Accreditation by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce – the highest award possible. This puts them in the top 1% of all chambers in the U.S. Only about 100 out of over 7000 members receive this award.
Stephens says the organization recently re-branded from the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce to Hampton Roads Chamber with a tag line “means business”. Their Objective is to create a favorable environment for businesses to start and thrive in the Hampton Roads region. They also advocate on behalf of the business community at the local, state and federal level. The three functional areas of the chamber include being an impactful advocate, powerful economic partner and and inspiring uniter.
Two of the most important programs the chamber offers is leadership development and young professionals. The young professional group is call tHRive and has over 1500 members participating in the program. They are the future of business and economic growth in the Hampton Roads regions.
