Vegas Strip

Pool season is in full effect and that means its poppin’ at the popular pool day clubs. Unfortunately, one popular party pool is still undergoing construction. The Go Pool at Flamingo Las Vegas was hoping to open to the public March 17th and then this date was pushed back a month into mid-April. We recently checked out the pool and it does not appear that the party will be happening any time soon at the Go Pool; however, the family pool at Flamingo is open and hotel guests also have access to other Caesars’ pools.

April showers bring May flowers; although here in Vegas the rain has been pretty scarce, but the pollen is still in full effect with our desert blooms. Heads up for those of you who have allergies! The overall weather in May is beautiful, with average daily temperatures ranging between mid-80’s to mid-90’s and cooling down to the upper 50’s to low 60’s.

The weather is not the only thing heating up in May! The entertainment and events happening this month certainly warrant the title of Las Vegas being the Entertainment Capital of the World. Of course, the biggest event happening in May in Vegas is the Electric Daisy Carnival, or EDC. EDC will be held May 16-18 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in North Las Vegas.

Again, all of the fabulous regular Vegas shows are happening daily and are totally worth checking out. We recently had the pleasure of attending Cirque du Soleil’s newest Vegas show, Mad Apple at New York New York Hotel & Casino. This show is unique in that guests can actually have a drink on stage prior to the start of the show, and the show boasts multiple types of entertaining acts, such as comedy, magic, dancing, singing and of course the traditional acrobatics that Cirque is known for. It certainly captivates the audience from beginning to end!
