Las Vegas Aviators Ready to Take Flight in New Ballpark

Ten Aviators home games will air on YurView Las Vegas - Cox channel 14/1014

Landing gear is deployed and they’re ready for arrival. The Las Vegas Aviators are less than a week away from opening night at the brand new Las Vegas Ballpark. During the inaugural season, Cox/YurView will broadcast ten baseball games between the Aviators and opponents in the Pacific Coast League.

The first televised game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10th against Sacramento and continues throughout the summer. Watch all 10 games live on Cox channels 14/1014 starting at 7:05pm PDT.  If you want to experience all the amenities of the new Las Vegas Ballpark, you can also purchase single-game tickets.

The Aviators have the proud distinction of being the longest enduring franchise in the history of professional sports in the state of Nevada. As the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, the 2019 campaign will mark the 37th season in the Silver State as a proud member of the Pacific Coast League.

“We couldn’t be any more enthusiastic about supporting the inaugural year of a new Las Vegas sports franchise,” said Mike Bolognini, vice president and market leader of Cox Las Vegas. “Cox Communications has been providing regional sports broadcasting for over 17 years, but this opportunity to support the Las Vegas Aviators and fans in Southern Nevada with their first play-by-play action from a new team makes for a real high point.”

Formerly the Stars (1983-2000) and 51s (2001-18), the team reached the 300,000 home attendance mark in all 36 seasons previously at Cashman Field. The Aviators are also in their first season as the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, and the franchise won the PCL championship in 1986 and 1988.

Veteran baseball sportscaster Russ Langer and former Los Angeles Dodgers standout and current broadcaster Jerry Reuss will call the action for all ten Las Vegas Aviators games on YurView.
