Recruit Rundown: Thibodeaux, McCoy and Hilinski Making Noise on the Recruiting Trail

Got 2 minutes? Danielle Alvari breaks down who’s in hot pursuit of which recruits in The Recruit Rundown.

Kayvon Thibodeaux – Oaks Christian High School

The five star defensive end hasn’t made a commitment just yet but on September 3rd, he did finally make an official visit to Florida State. He may be “semi” into the ‘Notes.

He’s also set to visit Alabama on September 22nd and Florida and Oregon in October. He’s also on track to graduate early and sign in December.

Bru McCoy – Mater Dei High School

Fun Fact: Bru’s actual name is Horace but when he was little he ran full speed into a wall at one of his sister’s dance recitals, so his mom started calling him a “bruiser”, which soon became “Bru” and now little Bruiser isn’t so little anymore.

Bru has been said to pass rush like Von Miller and catch passes like Mike Evans, demolishing anyone who’s brave enough (or foolish enough) to actually get in his way.

He hasn’t officially committed yet but it wouldn’t be a shock if he hooked up with his old high school teammates JT Daniels and Amon-Ra St. Brown over at USC.

Ryan Hilinski – Orange Lutheran

The 4 star QB has committed to South Carolina, but Ryan was not the first college quarterback in his family. Ryan’s older brother Tyler played quarterback at Washington State but passed away this past January. Since then Ryan and his family have started Hilinski’s Hope Foundation in memory of his brother and to bring awareness to mental health issues in student athletes.

Ryan Hilinksi is more than a system quarterback. He’s a support system quarterback.
