Friday, Nov. 5, 2021 – Oklahoma Ford Game of the Week
Oklahoma high school football: Westmoore Jaguars vs Jenks Trojans – Friday, November 5 at 7:30 pm CT.
It’s Senior Night for 6A-I #1 Jenks Trojans, and they’ll host the Westmoore Jaguars on the Ford Game of the Week.
The Trojans field a smothering defense, and Westmoore will have to be both tough and tricky to get anything into the end zone. Their offense is balanced well between the air and the ground, presenting Westmoore’s defense with a two-front battle.

The Jags are training up young players in many key positions. With a new offensive line and new faces on defense, they’re also starting a sophomore quarterback in Shyheim Johnson. While the Jags are growing their young QB, they’re going to the ground in the hands of guys like Brandon Arnold.
Over 60% of the team’s season rushing yards were earned by the senior running back, and he leads the team in total yards gained this season.

Friday, Nov. 5, 2021 – Omaha GameTime
Omaha, Nebraska high school football playoffs: Gretna Dragons vs Elkhorn South Storm – Friday, November 5 at 8:00 pm CT.
The Class A Regional playoff matchup between the Gretna Dragons and Elkhorn South Friday night on GameTime.
Gretna is ranked #5 in Class A. Last week, Flores was 21 of 28 for 231 yards with two touchdowns and ran for two scores in Round 1. Mick Huber had a career night last week as well, carrying the ball 28 times for 172 yards. Added to that, Brayden Chaney’s 99-yard kickoff return broke the Class A playoff record.
Elkhorn South is ranked #4 in Class A. They haven’t lost a game since a September 2nd defeat by Millard South. They beat Kearney last week to make it to this game – and they beat Gretna earlier this season in a come-from-behind 28-20 victory.
Clock management and a well-orchestrated run game allowed the Storm to prevail in that game. Now that the Dragons know what they’re facing, it’s anyone’s guess if they’ll fall to the same tactics a second time.
The winner of this game moves on to the semifinals to take on the winner of Omaha North vs North Platte.

Friday, Nov. 5, 2021 – Arizona GameTime Matchup
Arizona high school football: Centennial Coyotes vs Chaparral Firebirds – Friday, Nov. 5 at 7:00 pm MT (9:00 pm CT).
The Centennial Coyotes and Chaparral Firebirds collide in a GameTime matchup Friday night.
⭐ Preview: Centennial and Chaparral collide in featured GameTime Arizona matchup
The Coyotes’ junior QB Austin Glimpse has a big arm, with 881 passing yards to his credit this season. Go-to guys on the ground James Scott and Kavaughn Clark have nearly 1,000 yards rushing between them this year. With Clark hurt, the Firebirds defense will likely try to concentrate on neutralizing Scott.

The Firebirds are ranked # 10 in 6A, and won the 6A championship in 2020. Their QB Brayten Silbor is 168 of 258 for 2,418 yards. The senior recently reopened recruiting after de-committing from New Mexico. Silbor’s top receiver is Grady Hickey, who has 935 receiving yards this season as well as 252 rushing yards.

Friday, Nov. 5, 2021 – Kansas GameTime Matchup
Kansas high school football playoffs (5A Regional): Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles vs Maize Eagles – Friday, November 5 at 7:00 pm CT.
After falling to Bishop Carroll last year in the quarterfinals, Maize is looking to bump off the Golden Eagles early in Friday night’s 5A West Regional match.
The 7-2 Maize Eagles haven’t lost a game since their October 15th encounter with Derby. Bishop Carroll’s more recent defeat at the hands of Wichita East was an upset that will go down in Kansas football history. Both teams won last week: Maize in a 39-9 game against Newton and Bishop Carroll in a 31-28 overtime win vs. Hutchinson.
Illnesses and injuries over the last week have been shaking up the Golden Eagles’ roster over the last week, so it’s hard to predict the team we’ll see meet Maize Friday night.
The winner of this game will move on to face either Andover or Hays in the 5A West Sectionals.

Friday, Nov. 5, 2021 – Louisiana GameTime
Louisiana high school football: Episcopal Knights vs Port Allen Pelicans – Friday, November 5th at 7:00 pm CT.
District title implications are on the line this Friday night when Episcopal and Port Allen battle it out for the 2A District 8 crown at Port Allen Stadium.
Episcopal (8-0, 5-0) has reeled off 8 straight wins after losing in the pre-season Jamboree against 1A powerhouse Ascension Catholic. Last week, the Knights dominated East Feliciana 62-18. It’s really simple for Episcopal – if they win, they will end the regular season undefeated and be the outright 2A District 8 champion.
The powerful Knights offense is averaging nearly 40 points per game (38.5) and only giving up 17 points per game. The biggest game so far this season is the huge 44-40 come from behind victory over perennial power Dunham Tigers. This win propelled the Knights into a prime position to take the district title.
Port Allen comes into the game with a 6-3 overall record, but only one loss in district play (3-1). The Pelicans were riding a six-game winning streak until last weekend when Dunham handed the Pelicans a lopsided 45-6 loss.
A Pelicans victory over the Knights and a win by Dunham over Capitol would mean a three-way tie for the district crown.
Expect a hard-fought game as both teams know there’s a lot on the line Friday Night.
