Watch a full game replay of the Ford Game of the Week: Owasso vs. Mustang (Oklahoma) high school football from October 25, 2019.

The undefeated Owasso Rams played the Mustang Broncos Friday night at rain soaked Bronco Stadium in Mustang, Oklahoma.  The game had been billed by some as the Blankenship Bowl.  Owasso is coached by Oklahoma coaching legend Bill Blankenship.  The Mustang Broncos are led by his second cousin, Lee Blankenship.
Owasso scored first on a methodical 12 play drive that covered 61 yards in seven and a half minutes. The touchdown came on a one yard run by senior Mario Kirby. Owasso had a 7-0 lead after one quarter of play.
On a much shorter drive in the second quarter the Rams extended their lead when quarterback Cole Dugger tear dropped one into the arms of freshman Cole Adams.  The play went for 57 yards.  That touchdown pass made the score Owasso 14, Mustang 0.
Late in the second quarter, Mustang’s Kory Soulinthavong booted a 32 yard field goal.  That kick made the halftime score 14-3 in favor of Owasso.
In the third quarter Owasso held the ball the bulk of the time.  The Rams had the ball to begin the quarter.  A nearly 6 minute drive resulted in a 22 yard field goal by Hagen Hood.  Owasso led 17-3.
On Mustang’s next possession the Broncos put together a nice drive.  Khary Brown capped it with a 14 yard touchdown run.  The Owasso lead was down to 7.  Owasso led 17-10 with 4:48 left in the third.
Early in the fourth quarter, Owasso’s Cole Dugger hooked up with Payton Lusk.  The pass covered 17 yards and Owasso had a 24-10 lead.  Mustang could not mount another threat and Owasso went on to win the game 24-10.
Owasso continues to hold on to first place in District 6A-I District 2 with a 5-0 district record and remain undefeated at 8-0.  Mustang falls to 5-3 overall, 3-2 in district.
Cole Dugger was the Ford Player of the Game.  He was 11-19 passing for 178 yards and two touchdowns.  Derrick Overstreet led the Rams in rushing with 104 yards on 17 carries.  Mustang’s Harvey Phillips carried the ball 27 times and gained 154 yards.
