The area of southeast Virginia known as Hampton Roads, Coastal Virginia, Tidewater or even the 757 consists of 7 cities, split between “the Southside” and “the Peninsula”. The two areas are divided by a body of water that sometimes makes it feel as if an ocean separated the two, but is in fact just a few miles connected by a handful of bridge-tunnels.

One thing both sides of the water have in common is the outstanding variety of restaurants that cater to all manner of tastes. But with so many choices, how do you pick where to eat?

Well, we’ve partnered up with Yelp Hampton Roads to bring you the 5 best places to eat on the Peninsula, based on Yelp member reviews.
