DIY Fall Beauty Reset

There’s a chill in the air, leaves on the ground, and pumpkin spice everything all around. So it seems like there is no better time than the present to reset our beauty routine, from our head to our toes, leaving the summer heat and drying weather behind us. We’ve rounded up our favorite DIY beauty hacks that will have you “falling” in love with your skin, hair and feet again.

HAIR

After days in the sun, vacations at the beach, and summer hair don’t care mentalities, the fall is the best time to give our locks some love. And what better way than with a few of our favorite things mixed into one great hair mask: pumpkin, honey and coconut oil. Between the pumpkin promoting healthy looking hair, the coconut oil bringing tons of moisture and the honey working overtime with shine, this is one DIY recipe you’ll want to keep handy, even after the fall season ends.

You’ll Need:

  • 1 can of Pumpkin Puree
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Oil
  • 2 tbs Manuka Honey

How To Use:

Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl, and stir or beat together until consistency looks and feels like conditioner. On damp hair, run through the ends, and place your hair in a shower cap or tie neatly in a bun for 20 minutes. Rinse with shampoo and conditioner. Style as desired. Repeat up to twice a month for dry hair.

SKIN

Why wait for a spa day when you can bring the spa to your home? Masks are a great way to pull toxins out of your skin and give it a beautiful glow. This pumpkin face mask is a fall favorite because it contains vitamins A, C and Zinc. And if that’s not enough, the added cinnamon will act as an exfoliant- so it’s two in one! With just a few ingredients from your kitchen, you’re on your way to spa heaven:

You’ll Need:

  • 1 tablespoon canned Pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon Manuka Honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon Milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon

How To Use:

Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl, and stir until mixed well. Apply to a cleansed face and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and follow up with your favorite moisturizer.

FEET

Are your heels feeling cracked and dry? Or maybe the weather change has you bouncing between high heels and booties, which can cause a havoc of its own on those pretty feet. Why not give your footsies the TLC they need with this easy DIY salt scrub. Buff away dead skin and reveal the soft, beautiful skin underneath.

You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 cup Sea salt
  • 1/8 cup Jojoba Oil
  • 1/2 cup Olive oil
  • Lavender Leaves (if desired)
  • Favorite Essential Oil
  • Blender

How to Use:

Add the ingredients to a blender and pulse until there’s a nice consistency. On damp feet, rub generous amounts in a circular motion on heels, under feet and toes. Let sit for 2-3 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Follow up with skin moisturizer and socks for best results. Place the remaining ingredients in your favorite jar and use as needed.
