The JV Sports Show is a local show focused on Arizona high school and college sports and featuring topics and events of interest to viewers in the Grand Canyon State. From high school to college and everything in between. James and Vince break down your favorite games and local sports topics each week. Plus interviews with coaches, players, sports figures, politicians, and community organizations from all over Arizona.

James and Vince launched a podcast in 2019: The JV Sports Show, which soon after moved to KDUS AM 1060 radio as the JV Sports Show on Saturday mornings. Now on to YurView as the JV Sports Show!

More About James and Vince

James Poovey grew up in Garland, Texas and attended Stephen F. Austin State University. He moved to Phoenix in 1999. James spent three years as a line coach at Phoenix Christian High School.

James currently does broadcasting at Red Mountain High School, the AIA, NFHS, as well as international sports, play-by-play for Ottawa University Arizona (OUAZ), and Hohokam Junior College Athletic Conference (HJCAC). James and his wife Tara have three children: Brecken, Dallas, and Jordyn.

Vince D’Aliesio is a Phoenix native, graduating from Camelback High, ASU, and NAU. Vince was a high school and JUCO student-athlete. Vince coached at several schools including Buena Vista College in Iowa, Arizona State (and a Pac-10 Championship in 1996), eight high schools and three colleges over nearly 25 years.

Vince began his career in broadcasting on AM 1060, with good friend EZ Ed Smith. Vince currently does play-by-play for MCC, PA for ASU Sun Devil Athletics, Campo Verde and Camelback High Schools. Vince and his wife Cheryl have three children: Noah, Sophie, and Matthew.
